Davies Narh Korboe is a prominent figure in Ghana's agricultural sector, recognized for his transformative contributions to agribusiness and export development. As Board Member of Agromonti Company Ltd and President of the Federation of Associations of Ghana Exporters (FAGE), he has founded multiple companies, including Cotton Weblink Portfolio Limited and Rite 90.1FM, Ghana's only agriculture-focused radio station. He is also a majority stakeholder in Mango City Limited and Chemplan Company Limited. His pioneering work includes mango exports to Europe, comprehensive farmer training, and youth mentorship in agribusiness. Korboe's contributions have been acknowledged with prestigious awards, such as the National Overall Best Farmer Award (2009) and Outstanding National Agribusiness Leadership Personality (2019). He manages large mango plantations, oversees a pack house for exports, and serves on boards including Farm Radio International and the Tree Crops Development Authority. Honored as Ghana's 2018 Overall National Best Farmer, James owns and manages a highly diversified, large-scale commercial farm, launched in 2004. His agricultural acumen is matched by a remarkable 32-year career with major multinationals, during which he held senior management roles across West and Central Africa in leading organizations, including Cadbury/Kraft Foods, British American Tobacco, and Coca-Cola. As Managing Director for Cadbury/Kraft Foods Ghana, he oversaw operations in 17 West/Central African markets for 11 years. James is celebrated as a transformational leader, noted in CIO Business World and HR Focus Magazine, and has supported restructuring and rebranding initiatives, including at GOIL Petroleum. His commitment to sustainability is evidenced by his role as a former Board Member of Cadbury’s $100 million Cocoa Sustainability Programme in Ghana, working alongside partners like UNDP, WVI, VSO, and CARE International. In addition to his position on the Agromonti board, James serves as a Board Director for Plot Enterprises Ltd., a multinational cocoa processing company, and is a member of Brand Ghana’s Country Branding Team.
